Edwards, dean of the George Mason University College of Science and professor of biology, will participate in a Quantum World Congress 2026 session exploring how research universities can accelerate quantum innovation by connecting scientific discovery, education, industry partnerships, workforce development, and commercialization.

The session is part of Quantum World Congress 2026, taking place September 23–25 in College Park, Maryland. The conference brings together leaders from science, industry, government, finance, and education to advance quantum technologies and their real-world applications.
